Ingredients
- 2 pounds (lbs.) ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons (tbsp) soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon (tsp) garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (tsp) ground pepper
- 1 can (16oz) whole cranberry sauce
- 1 bottle (12oz) chili sauce
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons (tbsp) packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon (tbsp) lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons (tsp) minced onion
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°
- In a large bowl combine ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, parsley, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix thoroughly
- Shape into meatballs, laying in a single layer in a 9×13 baking dish
- bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, until no longer pink in the center
- Turn meatballs over once during baking
- Remove from oven and drain the grease
- In a medium bowl, mix whole cranberry sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, and minced onion
- Pour over the meatballs, covering evenly
- Bake for another 30-35 minutes, until the sauce bubbles
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes
- Serve over white rice or egg noodles
