Slow Cooker Broccoli & Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (LBS.) beef stew meat
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (tbsp) sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon (tbsp) minced garlic
  • 4 tablespoons (tbsp) cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons (tbsp) water
  • 1 bag (12oz) frozen broccoli florets
  • cooked white rice (if desired)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic
  2. Add beef, and toss to coat evenly
  3. Pour into a 6 quart slow cooker
  4. Cover, and cook on low heat for 5 hours
  5. Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Pour into slow cooker, mix well
  6. Add frozen broccoli, gently stirring to combine
  7. Cover again, and cook for another 30 – 60 minutes (or until broccoli is tender)
  8. Serve!
