Southern Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound (lbs.) ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 can (16oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons (tsp) chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (tsp) ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon (tsp) garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Take the crescent dough and unroll it in the center of the 8×12 pan and press it to the sides so it makes a solid layer on the bottom
  3. Cook the ground beef and onions in a pan and drain the fat
  4. In a medium to large mixing bowl combine the sour cream, egg, refried beans, cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Evenly spread the ground beef and onions over the dough
  6. Spread the bean mixture over the meat
  7. Top with cheese, than bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Take it out when the dough crust is golden brown.
